ARTIST HOUR - BANYAN TREES

On Friday, in Artist Hour, Mrs Lunn showed us how to draw Banyan Tress.  These trees live in India and in Florida in the USA.  They are very unique trees.  Did you know they have roots growing down to the ground from their branches?

Here are a few photos of us busy at work...

We can't wait until the next Artist Hour!

So much fun!

A CLOWDER OF CATS IN THE CLOAK-BAY!

Keep an eye out in MovieWorld (the cloak-bay) as there are going to be some pretty cool artwork going up!

On Friday in Artist Hour, Mrs Lunn taught us how to draw cats like a famous American artist called Laurel Burch.

We had a great time and although we didn't think we could be able to draw as well as Laurel, we listened to Mrs Lunn's instructions and concentrated hard of following her directions.  After a few attempts some kids would be tempted to give up ... but not us!  We have a growth mindset!  We persisted with our learning and we can't wait to show you what we achieved.

Mrs Lunn will hang our cats up in MovieWorld for us all to see.
Did you know a group of cats is called a clowder?
Neither did we - see, we are all still learning xxx

ARTIST HOUR

On Friday, we had Artist Hour with Mrs Lunn and Miss Crowther.
We are making self-portraits but with a twist!
We have to draw ourselves as what we want to be when we grow up.
In this photo you can see Kalas.  He wants to be an engineer.
He'd like to design and build huge bridges.
We think he would make an awesome engineer.

In case you are wondering why Kalas has dots on his forehead - don't worry they are not measles!  They are Brain-dots.  They show that Kalas has been working super hard :-)
