We had a great time at Piako 2 Whanau on Friday.
Lots of us signed up to share our learning and 11 children were awarded certificates!
AND
Blake even got TWO certificates!
He had had a great week,
Erica shared her story...
Molly shared her writing AND she's moving up into the Rainbow Room for Writing!
Aaron shared what he'd made in Genius Hour.
Our focus was on being Creative - Aaron certainly is that!

She even dressed for the occasion too!

FRIDAY FUN!
In Piako 2, we love Fridays.
Mrs Lunn's homeroom got to make fruit kebabs with Mrs Ruawai today.
They were delicious.
In the afternoon, we had Piako 2 Whanau.
Max shared his learning. He read a book this week with Miss Crowther all about fossils, so he brought one today to show us.
Briahna shared her writing.
Naomi was super proud of her poem illustration so she shared that with us.
Look at ALL our certificate winners!
Miya, Kalas and Zoha all were able to recite the poem of the week off by heart so they earned a bag of popcorn each as a reward. LUCKY!
See you next week!

PIAKO 2 WHANAU
On Friday we held our inaugural Piako 2 Whanau Assembly.
The teachers asked us what we wanted to have in our assembly and we brainstormed a HUGE list of ideas like decorations, certificates, children sharing their learning, songs and so much more.
Sophie B suggested we dress up. The teachers sent home a note asking our families if we could bring something to wear on Friday afternoon so we'd look fancy!
Check out the photos of us at Piako 2 Whanau. We had so much fun and well done to the kids who presented, and shared shared their learning this week.
This is Miss G. She is our Intern teacher all the way from AMERICA!
She has come to learn about how we learn in New Zealand.
We are really lucky to have her. In this photo we are giving her some Kiwi treats for the weekend like Pineapple Lumps, Milo and Tim Tams! YUM!
